Protect your phone screen from damage is not easy. The mobile we carry with us today, despite all our efforts, sometimes comes to some harm. Falls out of the frozen hands, at other times it meets keys or other sharp objects in a pocket or purse. And in these situations you will appreciate the protection offered by hardened glass. This protects your phone from bumps and scratches that no one likes to see on their phone.

Hardened glass is characterized by several times higher hardness, which reaches 9H (measured on the Mohs scale). Foils with hardness only 3-4H therefore, it can be seen purely as a scratch-resistant screen, and hardened glass also offers impact protection.

Another parameter is the transparency of the material. This is higher for hardened glass, which means better color rendering and less difference compared to the state without protective glass/foil.

High-quality hardened glass also offers a more pleasant surface – while your foil sticks uncomfortably on your foil, they slide comfortably on the glass. You can hardly recognize an additional layer of glass. There is also a fingerprint adjustment.

It is also worth mentioning the simpler application of glass on the phone display. Hardened glass does not leave bubbles, which are a common problem with protective foils.

The basic variant is 2D hardened glass, which is characterized by rectangular edges and are suitable for users who are satisfied with basic functionality and who do not care about the look and feel during use.

They are not always referred to as 2D hardened glass, so you can often know them that they do not bear any “better” designation (2.5D, 3D) that the manufacturer can boast of.

Unlike 2D, 2.5D hardened glass has rounded edges that are pleasing not only to the touch, but also to the eye. This type of safety glass is recommended for all owners of flat screen phones (Apple iPhone 5/5S/SE, Samsung Galaxy S5 mini and many others).

For mobile phones that have a rounded screen (such as iPhones from version 6 or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) there are 3D hardened glass which, thanks to its modification, can protect the entire display area “from edge to edge”.

Hardened glass noticeably increases the chance that your phone's screen will not be damaged if it falls. Impact, which would normally result, for example, by replacing the entire display, absorbs the protective glass used. This will crack in the event of a severe impact, absorbing energy that would otherwise cause unpleasant injury to the display itself.

It should be noted, however, that this protection may not always work. There are situations and falls that even the best hardened glass can not save.

Hardened glass holds on the phone thanks to the adhesive silicone layer. Because no glue is used, you can remove it at any time without leaving any residue.

It is no possible to reuse already removed glass.
